Turkmenistan adopts 12-year school program
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTurkmenistan is adopting the 12-year school education program this year, the Turkmen Education Ministry reports.
967,500 pupils, including 193,200 first-graders, will study at school in Turkmenistan this academic year. All first-graders will receive netbooks with special education programs.
The school program was supplemented with new subjects: cultural heritage of Turkmenistan, ecology, basics of economy, ethics, world culture, informative, communicative and innovative technologies, modeling and graphics.
Turkmenistan has 1760 middle schools, 37 middle professional schools, 64 basic professional schools and 23 higher education centers.
