Georgian defense minister welcomes PM's decision to quit politics

Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania welcomes Prime MInister Bidzina Ivanishvili's decision to quit politics. According to the minister, it will be in Georgia's best interests. 

The prime minister's resignation will establish a new political reality in the country, Alasania says. 

He also stresses that the members of the cabinet were surprised when the prime minister announced his plans.
