Georgian Prime minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said that the economic recession Georgia was experiencing was the outcome of his predecessors’ failures, Georgia Online reports.

He reminded that the United National Party had boosted construction rates, but not the quality of buildings. Ivanishvili noted that the Ministry for Economy and Sustainable Development will present a long-term program for economic development soon.

The prime minister believes that if it were not for the new government, the country would have faced an economic collapse. Ivanishvili said that the old government would have exhausted the business and caused an economic crash.
