Turkmen delegation for intergovernmental commission with Belarus approved

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has appointed Babaniyaz Italmazov, Vice Prime Minister for Industry, as the head of the Turkmen-Belarusian intergovernmental commission.

Italmazov supervises the Industry Ministry, Turkmenkhaly, Ministry for Textile Industry, the state committee for fishing, Turkmenkhimiya.

The Turkmen government and Belgorkhimprom (Belarus) signed an agreement in 2010 to build a mining facility in the Lebap Region. The project is worth $1.2 billion and will be launched in early 2015.

Garlyk mining will give 1.4 million tons of products every year.

Belarus is the traditional exporter of agricultural equipment to Turkmenistan.
