Georgian PM to regain citizenship in court

Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said today that he will regain his citizenship in court, Trend reports.

The PM added that he was expecting constitutional amendments from the parliament to allow people with dual citizenship to become the prime minister, president or speaker of parliament.

Ivanishvili was deprived of his Georgian citizenship by President Mikheil Saakashvili’s government due to becoming a French citizen in 2011.
