Militant leader killed in Kabardino-Balkaria

The counter-terrorism operation regime imposed in Kabardino-Balkaria today has resulted in elimination of Ruslan Makoyev, leader of the Urvanskaya Gang, RIA Novosti reports.

The gang is notorious for murder of president of the Kabardino-Balkarian Agrarian University and murder of a police officer while attempting to kill the head of the Urvansky District. The gang planned more terrorist attacks.
