New sports complex to be built in Grozny

The ceremony of laying a capsule for the construction of the "Aqua" multi-purpose sports and health complex has been held in Grozny. The complex will be located on the banks of the Chernorechensk reservoir, which is called the "Grozny Sea." The ceremony was attended by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and top officials of the republic.

"The project envisions a fitness section, swimming pool, restaurants, and all that is necessary for a healthy holiday. Construction of the complex will be funded by extra-budgetary funds," the press service of the Chechen leadership said.

The total area of the future facilities is 15 thousand square meters, and the complex will be able to accommodate up to a thousand visitors. 

The curator of the project is the manager of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic, M.E. Ahmadov.
