CEO of Georgia's Public Broadcasting Company fired

The chief executive of Georgia's Public Broadcasting Company, Georgy Baratashvili, has been fired. The decision was made by the company's Board of Trustees. According to the board, the officer hasn't manage to draft a definite anti-crisis plan for the company.

The opponents of the move believe that the board is being influenced by the pro-presidential United National Movement party and that the decision has been politically motivated.
