Russia calls for emergency meeting of UN Security Council

Russia has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council over the ongoing Syrian crisis, ITAR-TASS cites a source in the UN headquarters as saying.

The meeting is expected to be held today at 4 p.m. New York time.
