Marine ship to join Russian fleet at Syrian coast

The Nikolai Filchenkov marine ship will join the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea in the near future, Interfax reports.

The ship has already left Novorossiysk and is on its way to the Bosphorus. It is accompanied by the Smetlivy escort vessel. Nikolai Filchenkov carries a marine brigade. It left Sevastopol on September 6 and arrived in Novorossiysk.
