Tamar Zhvania appointed as head of Georgia's Central Electoral Commission

Tamar Zhvania was appointed today as the new head of the Georgian Central Electoral Commission. Her candidacy was proposed by President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Zhvania has already made an official statement, saying that her aim as the head of the commission is to hold free and democratic presidential elections on September 27th.
