Iran ready for talks with US only in framework of 5+1 group

Iran will only hold talks with the United States in the framework of the 5+1 group (the USA, the UK. France, Russia, China and Germany), the Islamic Republic's Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif said today.

"If Washington would like to solve the existing problems, we are ready to discuss it in the framework of our talks with the 5+1 group," he said.

Thus the Iranian official ruled out direct Iran-US talks.
