Georgia starts new academic year

559,200 pupils of state schools and 51,240 of private schools in Georgia have started a new academic year today, Georgia Online reports.

According to the Georgian Ministry for Education, the country has 2332 schools, 2085 of them being state-owned and 247 private.

Georgia has 64 accredited higher education centers where over 120,000 students have studies. Over 28,000 freshmen have started their studies this year.
