Iranian Border Guard Commander visits Azerbaijan

An official visit to Azerbaijan by the Iranian Border Guard Commander, General Hussein Zulfugari, has begun this morning.

Zulfugari is visiting Baku at the invitation of the head of the Azerbaijani State Border Service, Elchin Guliyev, Trend reports, citing the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan. Zulfugari will hold meetings with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elchin Guliyev and other officials within his two-day visit.

According to the report, the goal of the visit is to ensure security of the two countries' borders and to strengthen the fight against drugs.
