Syrian military say shot-down helicopter violated border by accident

The Syrian Mi-17 helicopter shot down by the Turkish Air Forces had violated the border by accident, the Syrian military said, Trend reports.

Turkish Vice Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said yesterday that the helicopter was shot down by a jet from the base in Malatya at 2.25 pm. He added that Turkish military had warned Syrian pilots about the violations many times. Arinc noted that no information about the helicopter’s crew had been given yet.
