Iran to build Caspian port

Iran will build a new port not far from the Amirabad Port on the coast of the Caspian Sea, Director of the Amirabad Exclusive Economic Zone Ali Nayemi said.

The port is necessary due to enlargement of Amirabad in the past 3 years. Its capacity increased four-fold to 4 million tons and staff from 400 to 1100 members in the past 3 years. The traffic of cargo is expected to increase by 6.5 million tons in the next 3 years.
