Turkish opposition leader stands against war with Syria

The leader of Turkey's opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has condemned the government’s desire to engage in a military operation against Syria, Hürriyet Daily News reports.

“We neither want war in our country, nor with our neighbors. We want Muslims to stop killing Muslims,” Kılıçdaroğlu is quoted by the news agency as saying on Tuesday.

According to the opposition leader, Turkey should seek peace in the region.
