Russian president congratulates South Ossetia on Day of Republic

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated South Ossetian leader Leonid Tibilov and population on the Day of the Republic, RIA Novosti reports.

Putin noted that the republic was solving problems of state construction, socio-economic development and expansion of international ties. He assured that Russia will continue supporting South Ossetia.

Attendants of the 14th session of the South Ossetian Council of People’s Deputies of the 12th calling transformed the autonomy into the South Ossetian Soviet Democratic Republic on September 20, 1990.
