16 people injured in explosion in Dagestan

The number of injured people in a suicide car bombing in the Tabasaransky region of Dagestan has risen to 16, the prosecutor's office said today.

"The blast killed a police officer and a member of the Federal Migration Service of the Tabasaranskiy region, 14 police officers and two civilians are hospitalized with injuries of varying severity," RIA Novosti quotes an official statement.

As previously reported by VK, the explosion occurred this morning in the village of Khuchni next to the building of the district department of internal affairs. It was reported earlier that two people were killed and 12 injured.
