US bans Armenian cheese

Armenian cheese-makers have produced the record amount of cheese this year. However, the US, main purchaser of Armenian cheese after Russia, has banned their products, ANSPRESS reports.

Only 5% of Armenian cheese will be exported this year. Exports of cheese to the US will drop 12 times. The problem appears even more complicated in the context of rising prices for electricity, gas and food in Armenia. The Armenian domestic market has no demand for the quantities of cheese produced this year.
