Vigilant Skies-2013 military drills postponed

The Vigilant Skies-2013 military drills set for today have been postponed until September 26 due to severe weather conditions, ITAR-TASS reports.

According to the scenario of the drills, a plane hijacked by terrorists was supposed to fly over the Black Sea to Turkey. Russian Su-27s and Turkish F-16s were to intercept it. Another plane was to fly from Poland.

Russian and NATO coordination centers are headquartered in Moscow and Warsaw. The State Corporation for Organization of Air Traffic, a structure of the Federal Agency for Air Transportation, provides information for the coordination centers.
