Chechen militants sentenced to years in prison

Three militants who attempted a terrorist attack on police officers near the village of Assinovskaya in the Sunshensky District of Chechnya in March 2012, have been sentenced to imprisonment, the Russian Prosecutor's Office said today.

20-year old Yusup Ektumbayev, 22-year old Makhmut Madayev and 20-year old Kimran Karsamov have been sentenced to 9, 8 and 7 years in prison respectively.
