Obama still eager to meet Iranian president

US President Barack Obama was eager to have an informal meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, spokesman of the White House, Jay Carney, said, RIA Novosti reports.

Carney called such talks a chance of Iran to prove seriousness of its intentions. The spokesman noted that the goal of Iran was to show respect to international obligations.
