Ingushetia introduces special firefighting regime

Ingush President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has ordered the introduction of a special firefighting regime. The government was ordered to burn down dry vegetation on Ingushetian territory and take fire security measures, Interfax reports.

The head of the main department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Ingushetia, Ruslan Koloyev, noted that, despite the measures, there were 107 fires in the republic, 101 of them started from dry vegetation. A large fire started in Nazran region, covering 600 hectares, with 7 fire groups extinguishing it for 4 hours and 2 houses threatened by fire.
