24 tons of opiates destroyed in Afghanistan

Russian, US and Afghan law enforcers have destroyed 24 tons of opiates in heroin equivalent in 22 drug laboratories in Afghanistan since 2010, head of the Russian Federal Drug Control Service, said, RIA Novosti reports.

Six anti-drug operations in Afghanistan have resulted in more heroin destroyed than in all Russian operations of the past 8 years.
