Azerbaijani gas to be cheaper than Russian

Kenan Yavuz, head of the SOCAR Turkey Enerji Petkim, said that the SOCAR was planning to launch TANAP in 2018 and make Azerbaijani gas cheaper that the Russian, Trend reports.

SOCAR partners developing Shah Deniz were planning to distribute shares: 12% for Statoil and BP each and 5% for Total. The TANAP project will allow shipments of 16 billion cubic meters of Shah Deniz gas to Europe every year, about 6 billion of which will be transferred to Turkey.
