The People's Party of South Ossetia issued a statement at a meeting of the republic's parliament about a vote of no-confidence in the government of the republic. The party considers that the government is not doing its job.

"The People's Party blames the government in its present form for the poor implementation of the budget, it has to take responsibility for its actions or lack thereof. We believe that the failure to follow the law of South Ossetia "On the budget" should be the subject of proceedings, followed by personnel changes. It's the only way we can change the situation and force officials to follow the law, not their own ideas about the "good of the people", the leader of the party Kazimir Pliyev said, Ossetia.ru reports.

The People's Party needs to secure the support of 12 deputies (out of 34) for consideration of a no-confidence vote in the parliament.

A member of the "Unity" Party, Vadim Tskhovrebov, said the People's Party statement was premature, as the Parliament has not yet heard the views of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance on the budget.
