Maikop hosts beauty contest

Maikop is hosting the Cherkeshenka beauty contest with 22 female Circassians aged 17-25 from Adygeya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Syria, Germany and Saudi Arabia taking part, Interfax reports.

The crown of Asi Yeutikh, a notable jeweler and People’s Artist of Adygeya, will be given to the winner. Participants of the contest will need to demonstrate good knowledge of language, history and culture of Adyghe people, cooking skills and mastery of sewing and dancing.
