North Ossetia may abolish popular vote during election of regional head

The North Ossetian parliament is discussing a bill that, if approved, will abolish the election of the republic's head by popular vote, the chair of the parliament's committee for lawmaking, Gennady Rodionov, stated.

The bill has already been approved by republic's commission for constitutional law, ITAR-TASS reports.
