Pele to visit Georgia

Football legend Pele will visit Georgia to mark the 150th anniversary of world and 115th anniversary of Georgian football, Cabral da Silva Jr., Executive Director of Supporting Sport (Brazil), said. His arrival is set for late October 2013, News Georgia reports.

Pele will stay in Georgia on October 26 - November 2 for the football games of men aged under 21. Pele will visit Tbilisi and Kutaisi.
Niko Patarkalishvili, head of the International Foundation for Culture, Sport, Tourism and Business Relations, said that Pele will meet members of the Georgian government, Football Federation and fans.
Pele was the World Football Champion in 1958, 1962 and 1970. The FIFA and IOC called him the best player of the 20th century.
