Turkic Council hails Azerbaijani presidential polls
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaHalil Akinci, Secretary General of the Turkic Council, said that this week's presidential polls in Azerbaijan were the most technically advanced in its history. He noted that three groups of observers in Agdam found no violations.
Akinci called the elections free and democratic.
According to preliminary polling results, Ilham Aliyev got 2,282,936 votes or 84.73%.
