Oleg Ostapenko to head Roscosmos

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree appointing Oleg Ostapenko as the head of Roskosmos.

Today the Prime Minister held a meeting with him.

"I signed an order appointing you as the head of Roscosmos. All your life you have been engaged in the space sector, including being on military posts, but now you have to engage with space in a different dimension. This is certainly a complex area that requires special attention from the State," RIA Novosti quotes Dmitry Medvedev.

As previously reported by VK , this morning Oleg Ostapenko was released from his position as the  first deputy defense minister of Russia.
