Oil extraction at Kazakhstan’s Kashagan stopped

NCOC stopped oil extraction at the Kashagan Field (Kazakhstan) in the second half of the day on October 9, 2013, to check the gas pipeline from Island D to Boshalak factory, 2km away from the facility, and find a gas leakage, Trend reports.

Digging started in the morning of October 11.

Oil extraction was halted in the area on September 26 due to a gas leakage at Bolashak.
