Slovakia to open embassy in Georgia

Georgian and Slovak Foreign Ministers Maya Panjikidze and Miroslav Lajcak met in Bratislava where the latter announced plans to open a Slovak Embassy in Georgia, Georgia Online reports.Slovakia and Georgia established diplomatic relations in January 1993. Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bejuashvili visited Bratislava in 2007, his successor Grigol Vashadze visited it in 2009, 2011 and 2012. Lajcak visited Georgia in 2010 and signed a set of bilateral agreements.The Georgian Embassy in Slovakia has been operating since 2006.
