Rouhani disapproves of restrictions on freedom of speech in universities

The President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani has disapproved of restrictions on the freedom of speech in Iranian universities during his speech at a ceremony marking the start of the academic year.

He noted that universities can be regulated only by law and that he will not allow anyone to exert pressure on students.

Rouhani also said that in his view Iran needs the "science of diplomacy."
