New platform in Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea commissioned

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commissioned a new offshore platform in the Bank Darwina field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR's statement reads today.

The new platform has been installed at a depth of 10 meters and is designed to drill eight wells at an average depth of 1,040 meters, Trend reports.
