Kayrat Mami to head Kazakh Supreme Court

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has recently suggested Kayrat Mami's candidacy for the position of the head of the country's Supreme Court, the president's website reports.

Kazakhstan's senators approved Mami's candidacy today.

The former head of the Supreme Court, Bektas Beknazarov, is now expected to head the Supreme Judicial Council of the republic.
