Putin condemns local authorities and media over inter-ethnic conflicts

Following the recent nationalistic uprising in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin condemns local authorities for inaction and media for provoking inter-ethnic conflicts.

The remarks were made today at the meeting of the Council for Inter-Ethnic Relations, which is headed by the pesident himself.

According to the president, media should not cover everyday conflicts and those based on inter-ethnic hatred or pejudice. Such way of coverage is stupid and non-professional, Putin believes.
