Turkish families with many children to be freed from taxes

Turkish families with three or more children will not be required to pay taxes, Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Shimshek said during parliamentary hearings devoted to the 2014 budget.

The minister also said that 78.5 billion lires would be spent on education and 30.4 billion lires on supporting unprivileged families.

The necessity to support families in order to increase the birthrate has recently been emphasised by Turkish Prime MInister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
