Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaPolice in the southern Russian city of Volgograd said Thursday they are searching for a person who threw a Molotov cocktail at a local mosque days after a deadly suicide bombing linked to an Islamist insurgency happened in the city, RIA Novosti reports.On Tuesday, the premises of a local Muslim organization that comprised both a mosque and the home of the organization’s head was pelted with Molotov cocktails in a different district of the city. The resulting fire was put out promptly by firefighters.
That building is reportedly located near to the district where a suicide bomber blew herself up on a bus Monday, killing six others and injuring about 50 people. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The woman was identified as a 30-year-old from Russia’s restive North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, RIA Novosti reports.
