Minsk hosts CIS summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin, Vice Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, officials of ministries and agencies are attending the CIS summit that started in Minsk today, RIA Novosti reports.Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan will be represented by vice prime ministers, other CIS countries by state leaders. Putin’s assistant Yuri Ushakov said that attendants of the talks will discuss problems of crime, economic cooperation and preparations to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.Kyrgyz and Turkmen vice prime ministers will make a joint statement for the press after the meeting, ITAR-TASS reports.
