Turkish lead facility fined $3 million

The Avci Aslan Dokum Sanayi factory producing and utilizing lead in Izmir (Gaziemir District, Turkey) has been fined $3 million for polluting nearby territory with radioactive waste, News Azerbaijan reports.Local authorities and officials of the Ministry for Environment and Urban Planning visited the factory yesterday. The facility was fined with a record sum.
