Russians disapprove of amnesty for migrants

The majority of Russians disapprove of the idea of an amnesty for illegal aliens, the recent polls conducted by the state-run VTSIOM polling centre show.

In general, 50 percent of Russians disapproved of the idea. In the two largest cities, Moscow and St. Petersburg, the figure is 64 percent. Only 24 percent of Russians support the amnesty, Gazeta.ru reports.
