Expert says Garibashvili is most suitable candidate for Ivanishvili

Irakli Garibashvili, who was named by Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili as his successor yesterday, is the most suitable candidate for Ivanishvili, Georgian expert David Gamtsemlidze told Vestnik Kavkaza in an interview.

According to Gamtsemlidze, any other candidate would raise envy and quarrels among the ruling coalition.

Garibashvili is the right choice because he is very close to Ivanishvili, since he worked in his company and has no political background, the expert believes.

Another possible candidate for prime minister, Defense Minister Irakli Alasania, would be a more dangerous choice as he is well-known and independent political figure, the expert explains.
