Turkey has been waiting for EU membership for 50 years, PM says

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his country has been waiting for a membership in the European Union for 50 years, even though its economic development is better than in several European states. 

The ramarks were made today in Finland, where Erdogan is on the official visit. 

According to Erdogan, double standards are used against Turkey.

Turkey has made everything to become a member of the EU, the prime minister underlines.
