Russia and Kazakhstan to sign alliance treaty

Russian and Kazakh Presidents Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev will meet at the 10th Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan in Yekaterinburg and sign a good-neighbour and alliance treaty, fixing the principles of long-term strategic partnership of the two states, RIA Novosti reports.

The presidents have been meeting regularly since 2003. This year’s meeting will be their fifth.
