Mohammad Javad Zarif: religious conflicts are main threat to peace

The religious conflict between Shiites and Sunnis in Islam poses the most serious threat to safety in the world today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif said.Syria, Iraq and Pakistan are among the countries with most violent religious conflicts.According to Zarif , the conflict between Shiites and Sunnis is "the most serious threat to the security not only of the region (the Middle East), but also of the whole world."This year alone about 6,500 civilians died from this religious conflict in Iraq, the highest number in the last five years.The religious conflict between Shiites and Sunnis in Islam poses the most serious threat to safety in the world today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif said.
