No Syrian woman complained of sexual assault in Turkish refugee camps
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAcccoding to Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, not a single complaint regarding sexual assault against Syrian women staying at temporary sheltering centers has so far been received by the Turkish authorities, Hürriyet Daily News reports.
Davutoğlu’s statement came this week in response to a motion submitted by, Sezgin Tanrıkulu, a lawmaker from the oppositional Republican People’s Party (CHP) a few months ago.
“No single complaint concerning sexual assault of Syrian women staying at temporary sheltering centers has been received. Such claims do not reflect the truth by any means,” Davutoğlu is quoted as saying.
