Gas pipeline, railway to connect Igdir and Nakhchivan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the Council of Strategic Cooperation of Azerbaijan and Turkey in Ankara yesterday, abc.azreports.Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he had discussed the construction of a gas pipeline and railway between Igdir and Nakhchivan with Aliyev.An airport opened in Igdir last year. The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) carried out feasibility studies for the pipeline construction. Azerbaijan will pump gas to Turkey through Georgia.
