Georgia's opposition United National Movement party founded by incumbent Presidnet Mikheil Saakashvili is going to boycott the inauguration of President-elect Georgy Margelashvili.

The statement issued by the opposition party says that Margelashvili's competitor from the United National Movement, David Bakradze, has congratulated Margelashvili on his victory, showing respect for the will of the people, but underlines that Margelashvili has already stressed that he was not going to cooperate with the opposition and that Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has offended the opposition party by saying that its political culture is very low.
